Medical camp on World Women’s Day

On 07.03.2025 RK University Ayurvedic college and Hospital organized World Women’s Day medical Camp
A total of 95 girls participated in this camp, which was organized to celebrate World Women’s Day. The camp aimed to promote empowerment, health awareness, and overall well-being for young girls.
Activities Conducted:
1. Consultation - Consultation of all the participants done to rule out any underlying pathology.
2. Health Check-ups: HB Test: Hemoglobin (HB) levels were checked for all participants to assess their general health and well-being. RBS (Random Blood Sugar) Test: RBS was conducted to monitor the blood sugar levels of the attendees to raise awareness about diabetes and its prevention.
3. BMI Calculation: Each participant’s Body Mass Index (BMI) was calculated to educate them on maintaining a healthy body weight and lifestyle. The results were discussed individually to help the girls understand the importance of proper nutrition and physical activity.
Outcomes:
The camp successfully raised awareness about the importance of maintaining good health, especially with respect to blood sugar levels and hemoglobin count.
The BMI check-up served as a practical way for the girls to learn more about healthy body weight ranges and the need for balanced diets.
The camp was organised by Dr. Shweta Shetty. Associate professor, Department of Dravyaguna, and Dr. Shreekant Mundada, Associate professor, Department of Kayachikitsa.
