Community Care Medical Camp; Your Health, Our Priority

The free medical camp organized by Department of Kayachikitsa, RK University, Ayurvedic College and Hospital, on 4th august 2024 at Pipadiya hanuman mandir, Mawdi chowk, Rajkot, from 9 am to 1 pm with the goal of providing essential health services, general health check-ups, and free medications to the local community. A total no. of 103 patients with a wide age range, from children to the elder received treatment of respiratory infections, chronic joint disorders, hypertension, diabetes and dermatological conditions etc. Vidha karma performed during the medical camp addressed the immediate pain relief technique. The primary objective was to enhance access to healthcare and promote awareness about various health issues among the local population.

Throughout the day, the camp saw enthusiastic participation, with numerous attendees benefiting from the free services. The team, comprising Medical professionals, Dr. Shreekant Mundada, and Dr. Vinita Sharma, our interns Devangi Solanki, Meera Gohel, Vaja Shivangi, Yadi Patel, Jalvin Mavani and pharmacists Deesha Aparnathi and volunteers, worked diligently to ensure that every individual received proper medical attention.

As a way forward, it is recommended to conduct follow-up sessions to assess and enhance the long-term benefits of the health interventions provided and many of the patients were advised to get admitted in the hospital for free medical services at Ayurvedic hospital of RK university

The camp was arranged under the guidance of our Director and Medical superintendent Dr. Deepty Nair. We are thankful to the doctors, internees, hospital staff, and also the community members for their participation.
