BLOOD DONATION CAMP (10th September 2024)

On 10th September 2024, RK University organized a successful blood donation camp in collaboration with Shreemad Rajchandra Foundation Rajkot, at Ayurvedic Hospital from 8 am – 3 pm, to help provide much-needed blood for Civil Hospital patients in urgent need of transfusion. The camp was witnessing enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and staff.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Manoj Pande, Director & Hospital Superintendent of ACH, and ensuring a smooth and safe donation process. Dr. Vinita Sharma, Assistant professor with Interns, encouraged the students to take part in this noble cause. The camp received an overwhelming response with 111 donors participating, including students, faculty, and staff. Each donor went through a thorough medical check-up before donating blood to ensure safety for both the donors and the recipients.
Achievements:
- A total of 111 units of blood were collected.
- The collected blood will benefit various patients in need, including those undergoing surgeries, accidents, and people with chronic illnesses.
The medical team ensured the process was smooth and safe, with all necessary precautions in place, including proper sanitization and social distancing measures due to ongoing health protocols. Refreshments were provided to all donors post-donation, along with certificates of appreciation for their contribution.
RK University Ayurvedic College and Hospital highlights commitment to community service and making a positive impact on healthcare and the participants were proud to contribute to this life-saving cause.
