Celebration of World Book and Copyright Day

RK University embraced the spirit of reading and copyright on April 23rd, 2025, by celebrating World Book and Copyright Day, an event officially recognized by UNESCO. This annual observance honours the memory of literary giants such as William Shakespeare, Miguel de Cervantes, and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, aims to foster a love for books, promote publishing, and highlight the importance of copyright.
Aligning with the global theme of "Read Your Way" for World Book and Copyright Day – 2025, the Library Department of RK University Ayurvedic College and Hospital organized a captivating book exhibition. The exhibition showcased a diverse collection of novels, literary masterpieces, and general knowledge magazines, specifically curated to encourage and cultivate reading habits among the students.
A significant highlight of the occasion was the felicitation of the ‘Library User of the Year – 2024’. A fourth year student Sarfaraz Katiyar was honoured with a certificate and a memento in recognition of his consistent and active engagement with the university library throughout the past year.
The event was inaugurated by the esteemed Registrar of RK University, Shri Sagar Patel. The successful organization and execution of the World Book and Copyright Day celebrations were greatly supported and guided by the Principal, Dr. Manoj Pande
The enthusiasm for the event was evident in the participation of all BAMS students, along with faculty members and the university librarians, who visited the book exhibition. The entire event was skilfully coordinated by the Librarian, Mr. Jagdish Morvadiya, Dr. Bhargav Mehta and Dr. Ashok Parmar. The collective effort created a vibrant atmosphere that celebrated the joy of reading and the importance of literary works.
