DRAVYAGUNA EDUCATIONAL TOUR TO SINHAGADHA FORT

India is rich in a wide diversity of medicinal plants. In this  Rainy season, Dravayguna Department organised Second Educational trip to Sinhagadha Fort, Pune, Maharashtra from 30 June to 6 July 2019. First one was organised at Junagadh so second one is planned as out state tour to have knowledge of diversity.


Well said by Acharya Vagbhata. To explore the flora and fauna Of Pune region we visited to Sinhagadha Fort. With the help of local people and under the guidance of Dr. Shweta Shetty and Dr. Gaurav Dongare, we saw many plants few amongst them were exclusively found on Sinhagadha fort. Fruiting of Haritaki, Udumber, Asana and flowering of Sariva, Neeli, Shatavari were also seen by all students. Students saw rare species of plants and came to know the local uses of few traditionally used plants like Karavi, Ghaneri, Dagadful etc. Along with Knowledge students experienced the diversity of nature.
