यदिहास्ति तदन्यत्र यन्नेहास्ति न तत् क्वचित् | - चरकसंहिता सिद्धिस्थान १२/५४

Whatever knowledge of medicine is available in this treatise is also present in other texts of Ayurveda, and whatsoever knowledge is not available here can not be found any text of Ayurveda. This indicates the greatness of Charak Samhita.

Acharya Charaka’s Contribution to Ayurveda is well known. ‘Charak Samhita’, the foundational text, one amongst the ‘Brihat Trayi’ has survived and proved its importance since ancient times. Along with treatment Charak Samhita gives equal importance to prevention of diseases.

To celebrate his contribution, Samhita – Siddhant & Dravyaguna Department organised ‘AyurBodh – 2021’ quiz competition on 13th August 2021. Total 22 groups, 66 students enthusiastically participated in the event. Quiz competition had various rounds like MCQ, Rapid fire, Identification, Shloka completion rounds etc. Dr. C. M. Vaghani (Principal & Hospital Superintendent) & Dr. Shrikant Tambe (HOD - Dept. of Roga Nidan) were the Judges, who guided all the students throughout the entire competition. Bharadwaj group (Pavan Sorathiya, Jahanvi Thumar & Jeenal Vaniya) & Nagarjuna group (Priyanka Dudhagara, Hemangi Manavadariya & Janki Shukla) were the winner & runner up of this Quiz Competition. These students were felicitated on 5th foundation day ceremony of RK University Ayurvedic College & Hospital.

Dr. Manoj Pande (Event Coordinator), Dr. Dipa Rananavare, Dr. Shweta Shetty, Dr. Nikita Pamnani, Dr. Bhavin Dubal & other faculties of RK University Ayurvedic College & Hospital worked hard for the success of this event.
