On 6th December 2023, Department of Agadtantra Evum Vidhivaidyaka , RK university Ayurvedic college and Hospital held an educational visit of the third year students to the Post-mortem centre of Pandit Dindayal Upadhya civil hospital Rajkot. The visit was led by Dr. Pankaj Bhange (Associate professor & HOD of Agadtantra Evum Vidhivaidyaka) and Dr. Shivangi Malaviya. (Assistant professor of department of Agadtantra Evum Vidhivaidyaka)

The students were distributed to 2 groups and Dr Pranap Kumar (Resident Doctor of forensic medicine, PDU medical college Rajkot) gave a tour of the autopsy room and explained the requirements and importance of post-mortem. He explained different parts of the autopsy room and their use during the post mortem. Also gave a tour of the cold chamber where dead bodies were preserved and a negative autopsy room where autopsy of doubtful infectious diseases related death is done.

The students were very interested in the visit and learned a lot about the autopsy.
