On 28/5/24 a seminar was conducted at the SOE Seminar Hall, RKU campus from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The scientific session included two papers as follows:
1. Representing GIST, Dr Sagar M Bhinde, Assistant Professor, Dept of Kaumarabhritya, ITRA, Jamnagar delivered a session on “Concept of Aahaar Kranti” wherein he threw lights on the food production and distribution in India, prevalence of undernutrition and malnutrition, concept of healthy meal, globalization of food and its impact on environment etc.
2. Dr Smitha A V, Professor & Head, Department of Swasthavritta & Yoga, PNNM Ayurveda Medical College, Kerala enlightened the audience with her session on “Ayurveda Dietetics for Health & Healing” sharing the principles of Ayurveda dietetics and their application in diet planning.
Dr Deepty Nair, Professor & Head, Department of Swasthavritta & Yoga rendered the Vote of thanks. All the teaching staff and students from Ist year, IInd year and IVth year BAMS benefitted from the session.
