On July 31st 2024, a guest lecture was conducted at RK University, Ayurvedic College and Hospital, at ACH, titled “A Comprehensive Guide to Financial Literacy”- financial literacy and securities market awareness session under the aegis of SEBI. The event aimed to educate students and faculties about the money management skills and various concepts of financial planning. Lecture was delivered by two renowned experts in the field.

Speaker’s profile-

1) Mr. Vaibhav Puranik, more than 20 years of experience in financial services, worked in SBI Mutual fund, Nippon mutual fund, Franklin Templeton etc.

2) Mrs Aparna Puranik more than 12 years of experience of teaching in the field of management and commerce in different colleges and also associated with SEBI, NCFE, CED for training in financial literacy.

• Financial Literacy concept (Saving, borrowing and Transaction related products and services)
• Investments - Capital market, asset allocation and mistakes committed by investors
• Insurance - Protection related concepts and various Govt. schemes.
• Pension - Pension products and services from PFRDA. Atal pension yojana and NPS
• Frauds and scams - Online, offline scams, phishing, vishing, smishing etc frauds and ways to protect them.

100 students of first year attended the programme and top 6 students got prizes of a quiz competition.
