IEC CAMPAIGN FOR PREVENTION & CONTROL OF SEASONAL DISEASES

To sensitize the staff and students of RK University about common causes, symptoms, prevention and control of the water borne and mosquito borne diseases seen during the monsoon season, Department of Swasthavritta & Yoga, RK University Ayurvedic College & Hospital conducted an IEC campaign titled “Jaladhi from 18/07/2024 to 25/07/2024.

Under the guidance of Dr Deepty Nair, Professor & HOD, Dept of Swasthavritta & Yoga, the students of IInd Professional BAMS delivered the sensitization program in the form of a Role Play highlighting the common causes, symptoms, prevention and control of Water borne diseases viz., Typhoid, Cholera and Hepatitis.

Under the guidance of Dr Shreekant Mundada, Associate Professor, Dept of Kayachikitsa and Dr Deepty Nair, Dipteshwarsinh Rathod, Intern, RKU-ACH delivered the sensitization session on Mosquito borne diseases. The conduct of event was supported by Dr Rukhsar Piparvadiya, Assistant Professor, Dept of Kayachikitsa.

The campaign was conducted as follows:

1. 18/07/2024: Staff & Students of Ayurvedic College
2. 19/07/2024: Staff & Students of School of Science 3. 23/07/2024: Staff & Students of School of Physiotherapy 4. 24/07/2024: Staff & Students of School of Engineering 5. 25/07/2024: Staff & Students of School of Pharmacy

A total of 8 sessions were conducted benefitting more than 1500 staff members and students of the RK University.
