On January 24th 2025, a guest lecture was organized by Department of Kayachikitsa, RK University, Ayurvedic College and Hospital, in collaboration with Giriraj Hospital Rajkot , featuring insights from a distinguished guest Dr. Devang Patel (Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist and Interventional Endoscopist) and Dr. Krupen Tailor (Orthopedics, Trauma and Joint Replacement Surgeon).

The session focused on integrative approaches to modern and traditional medicine in managing gastrointestinal and musculoskeletal disorders. The session began with Dr. Devang Patel highlighting advancements in gastroenterology, including cutting-edge diagnostic techniques like capsule endoscopy and therapeutic endoscopy. He also discussed liver health, focusing on the prevention and management of peptic ulcer. Dr. Krupen Tailor also provided valuable insights into osteoporosis prevention, particularly for aging populations and discussed strategies for managing sports injuries, including rehabilitation techniques.

The use of case studies demonstrated the effectiveness of modern surgical methods. The experts highlighted advancements in digestive health, emphasizing diagnostics and treatment strategies for chronic conditions and innovative techniques in bone and joint care, including minimally invasive surgeries and rehabilitation practices.
