On 12th June 2026 and again on 30th July 2026, the department of Agadtantra & Vidhi Vaidyaka organized an educational visit to Arambh Nashamukti Kendra for the II BAMS students. To ensure effective learning and interaction, the batch of ninety-nine students was divided into two groups, each visiting the center on separate dates.
During the visit, the students were welcomed by the counselors of the center, who explained in detail the importance of de-addiction services and the procedures followed at the institution. They highlighted the holistic approach adopted at the center, combining medical, psychological, and social interventions to support individuals in overcoming substance dependence. The students were guided through different sections of the facility, where they observed the systematic functioning of the rehabilitation process and the supportive environment created for patients.
The exposure provided the students with valuable insights into the practical aspects of addiction management, complementing their classroom learning with real-world applications. It also helped them understand the medico-legal significance of de-addiction practices and the role of empathy and counseling in patient rehabilitation.
The visits were successfully coordinated and conducted under the guidance of Dr. Pankaj Bhange, Dr. Shivangi Malaviya, and Dr. Akhila G., whose efforts ensured that the students gained maximum benefit from the experience. We expressed its gratitude to the management of Arambh Nashamukti Kendra for their cooperation and informative guidance, and to our Director, Dr. Manoj Pande, for his constant encouragement and support in making these educational visits impactful and meaningful.
