A Free BMD (Bone Mineral Density) Camp was successfully organized by Ayurveda College & Hospital (ACH) and sponsored by Zandu Pharma Company at the Ayurvedic Hospital of RK University, Tramba on the occasion of World Women’s Day, on 7th March, 2026.

The camp aimed to create awareness about bone health and osteoporosis among women and to provide free bone density screening. Many women from nearby villages and urban areas participated enthusiastically in the camp.

During the camp, free BMD tests were conducted for participants to evaluate their bone strength and identify early signs of osteoporosis or bone weakness. Expert Ayurvedic doctors and healthcare professionals were presented by Prof & HOD Panchkarma Dr. Ketan Bhimani to guide the patients regarding bone health, proper diet, lifestyle modifications, and Ayurvedic preventive measures.

Educational guidance was also provided regarding the importance of calcium-rich diet, regular exercise, sunlight exposure, and Ayurvedic remedies for maintaining strong bones. The camp helped many women understand their bone health status and encouraged them to take preventive steps for a healthy life.

The event was well supported by Dr. Manoj Pande (Director, RKU Ayurvedic college and Hospital), Dr. Ketaki Ramani (Head of RKU Human resources) and Bhavna Patel (Head of RKU Student organization advisory council)

75 persons were visited, consulted and guided for their healthy Future life.

The management of RK University Ayurved Hospital expressed their commitment to continue organizing such community health programs for the benefit of society.

Overall, the camp was a great success and played an important role in spreading awareness about women’s bone health on the special occasion of World Women’s Day.
